Xu Bing is set to deliver the 2018-2019 Kim and Judy Davis Dean’s Lecture in the Arts at Radcliffe’s Knafel Center, Harvard University on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 4:15 pm. His lecture, titled "Dragonfly Eyes: What Counts as Art Today," will focus on his recent work, Dragonfly Eyes (2017). Xu Bing will also engage in a discussion with Harvard professors Eugene Wang RI’17, the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Professor of Asian Art, and Jennifer L. Roberts, the Johnson-Kulukundis Family Faculty Director of the Arts at the Radcliffe Institute, and Elizabeth Cary Agassiz, Professor of the Humanities. The conversation aims to explore the diverse range of Xu’s art and its impact on the contemporary art scene.

Before the lecture, the Harvard Film Archive will present Dragonfly Eyes (2017) on Monday, October 16, 2018 at 7:00 pm. A Q&A session with Xu Bing will follow the screening
